Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded brown hair with forelock curl, shaded blue/grey eyes, pronounced black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pensive expression, stitch-jointed shoulders, wide disc-jointed five-seam legs, separately-stitched thumbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 85674 (left foot) Kathe Kruse gekleidel (original paper label with back-to-back KK lettering). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type I, circa 1920. Value Points: the doll has beautiful original finish, near mint body, original paper label and is wearing original Tyrolean style costume including lederhosen with leather suspenders.
