Description
4 1/2"h. 3 1/2"l. An all-bisque Kewpie with right-glancing eyes is seated upon a white toy dog with black ears and tail, designed to appear as a hobby horse type dog with sculpted pins to suggest jointing, and sculpted bars to suggest attachment to sculpted base. Kewpie is posed at ease with hands resting lightly on its knees. A series of Kewpies riding toy hobby animals was created for a very limited period, a companion model appears as #31 in this book. Very examples from this series are known to exist. Germany, circa 1912.
