3"h. (8 cm.) A delicate porcelain mug in shades of royal blue and brown with dark brown rim and handle is decorated with embossed Kewpie designs: the Kewpie Farmer on one side, and Kewpie Wag on the other. When the empty mug is held to the light, a lithopane of two frolicking Kewpies is visible within the base. Marked Royal Bayreuth. Germany, circa 1915.
