Description
4" (10 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie with modeled Civil War red cap is lying on his tummy on the shelf of a green dish. Kewpie bears a rifle and black belt with sword, and, with one squinting eye, appears to be taking aim at a brown flocked-finish wide-eyed bear that sits at the other corner of the dish. Marked 4898 O'Neill (incised) and c. (in circle). Germany, circa 1915. The very rare model is unusual in its theme and detailed in its presentation.
