6" (15 cm.) All-bisque one-piece figure of left-glancing Kewpie in seated pose that resembles the classic sculpture The Thinker by Rodin. O'Neill studied in the Rodin studio during her stay in Paris in the early 20th century, and may have designed this piece as an amusing rendition of his famous work. Marked O'Neill. Germany, circa 1915.
