6 1/2" (16 cm.) All-bisque standing Kewpie with modeled red and black cap of Civil War soldier has brown and silver rifle in his right arm, wears a black belt with silver-handled sword in scabbard, and stands alongside an Art-Nouveau styled vase in the shape of a tree-trunk. The red paint on cap is rubbed worn. Germany, circa 1915.
