The classic Kewpie Farmer with bisque wide-brimmed sun hat, one arm held behind his back, the other arm extended and holding a wooden handled metal pitchfork, is standing upon an oval bisque base, alongside an Art Nouveau styled vase in the shape of a tree trunk, decorated with rose and mauve flowers. Marked c (in circle) on base. Germany, circa 1912.
