10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, tinted stubble on bald pate, black sculpted beard and moustache, enamel eyes, incised frown lines, open mouth, teeth, tongue, tow-wrapped posable armature body, painted bare legs and yellow slippers, wearing original costume of rich gold-embroidered burgundy, velvet vest, green harem pants, turban. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, wonderful detail of facial sculpting and expression.
