Description
8" (20 cm.) Kewpie. Plaster statuette depicting a modified version of Kewpie Thinker has left-glancing eyes, sculpted wings, and classic forelock and topknot, but differs from classic Kewpie with unusual sculpted dimples, and is unsigned. Along with green felt flannel pennant with silk applique design of two Kewpies seated under an umbrella and the poem, "We should worry about the weather when you and I can be together." Circa 1935. ending (paper label on doll). Comments: circa 1925
