Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig with interwoven purple velvet ribbons, cork pate, padded stockinette over metal armature body allowing articulation, bisque hands, lower legs and feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 5 G. (head) (stamped Gesland mark on torso). Comments: Gesland, circa 1875 with original deposed Gesland body. Value Points: rare model with beautiful bisque, perfect bisque hands and feet, fine antique wooden and velvet costume, undergarments, leather boots, carrying woven basket.
