All-bisque Kewpie resting on its back with outstretched arms, turned head, left-glancing eyes, and left foot kicking high, is posed atop a bisque heart-shaped dresser box in shades of blue and pink with removable lid. The box is hand- lettered on the base "February 14, 1917, Valentine's Day". Germany, circa 1917.
