16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body, lovely silk costume and matching bonnet, undergarments, shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 9 (head) (original Steiner paper label on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1889. Value Points: very pretty example of the classic shy-faced bebe, original body and body finish.
