Description
5" (13 cm.) All-bisque standing Kewpie with right-glancing eyes, posed slightly bow-legged with right arm extended backward and balancing a large brown valise and with left arm clasping a brown-handled black parasol. The Traveler, one of the most popular of the Kewpie models, first appeared in the 1912 Borgfeldt catalog as model 4859 and was made in many sizes, and in variations such as #309 with Doodledog. Marked c (in circle). Germany, circa 1915.
