22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, one-piece walking legs which when moved forward and back cause the doll's head to turn side to side and the doll to cry "mama". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep 9. Comments: French, Jumeau/SFBJ, circa 1900. Value Points: unplayed with condition, the doll has original wig and (very frail) rose silk costume with matching bonnet, undergarments, socks, shoes signed "Paris Depose 9", and black silk banner with gilt lettering "Je Parle/Je Marche, J'Envoie des Baisers". Value Points: lovely luminous bisque, original costume and signed shoes.
