Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie is posed upon a bisque oval base, leaning forward as though offering the contents of a white bisque pink-tied sack that he is holding. A metal plate attached to the front of the base is labeled "Let Us Be Happy". Marked 5520 O'Neill (incised). The identical model was first offered in the 1912 Borgfeldt catalog of Kewpies as #4882, and is an extremely rare model to find today. Germany, circa 1912.
