20" (50 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, thickly fringed painted upper lashes, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with full pouty lips, accent line between the lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 114 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, the model marketed as "Gretchen" from their art character series, circa 1912. Value Points: very rare glass eye variation of the art model, with very fine quality of bisque and painting, especially fine antique wig.
