24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, fringed brows, blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 15. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: superb decoration renders a most pleasing shy expression, original body and body finish, dimpled philtrum and chin, wonderful antique costume highlighted by flannel coat with applique lace on collar, silk bonnet and leather boots.
