15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed body with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, wearing original muslin chemise, the doll also owns an exquisite brown silk gown with matching bonnet, fur stole, undergarments, leather ankle boots with tiny heels signed "2" and "P" (in script).
