Description

each 5" (13 cm.) Each of ten dolls is of painted bisque with one-piece head and torso with head posed downward, painted upper glancing eyes with long lashes, bow-shaped mouth, mohair wig, loop- jointed arms and legs, painted white boots, black boots or flat black slippers. Condition: generally excellent, slight surface dust, girl with blue pants is missing legs, boy with rick-rack blouse has sparse hair and few paint flakes. Marks: America (back torso). Comments: the first period dolls from the Nancy Ann firm, made one year only in 1936. Value Points: extremely rare ensemble, each doll is wearing its original costume.
