5" dolls. Each of five dolls has bisque shoulder heads, blonde sculpted hair, painted facial features, muslin body, bisque lower limbs, and each is wearing its original factory made theatre costume to represent Marquis, Marquise, another lady, and two jesters. Along with French miniature chaise a porteur with enameled designs of young cherubs, with maroon velvet trim and beveled glass windows, with hidden music box that winds from beneath. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: made for the French market by Charles Keller who registered a design for the dolls in 1877. Value Points: wonderful original costumes on the theatre dolls, perfectly sized for display with the chaise a porteur having rare musical device.
