Description
21" (53 cm.) armoire, 11" (28 cm.) doll. Wooden armoire with fancy crest, mirrored front door that opens to reveal a bisque-head doll with glass eyes, open mouth, blonde mohair wig, five piece French composition body, wearing original chemise; on the other side of the armoire is a glass front cabinet with three shelves of neatly tied house linens, and three drawers with tied-in accessories including brush, soap, powder puff and others, and long bottom drawer as sewing necessaire with scissors, thimble, thread, and such. Excellent condition. French, circa 1895,a presentation armoire from French department store Etrennes catalogs, and rare to find in this condition.
