17" (45 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of lady with slender face, elongated throat, deeply sloping shoulders, black sculpted hair drawn to below ears and waved backward, exposing the ears into coiled braided bun at back of head, painted blue eyes, red and black eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain limbs, antique gown and undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: possible restoration to shoulder plate, virtually undefinable. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: very beautiful early porcelain doll with wonderful face, elaborate coiffure, quite rare to find.
