Pressed bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes of great depth, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the pale outlined lips with accent touches, dimpled blushed chin, separately modeled pierced ears with blushing detail, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with very plump limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 16 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884,the model known as Bebe Triste in reference to its wistful sad expression.
