Each of fine creamy soft paste with blue patterned border centering a scene from Theatre Guignol, the popular puppet theatre of 19th century France; each is a different scene from one of the puppet theatre plays presented during that time, including Romeo and Juliet, If I was King, Around the World, and others. Marked MBCM, Montereau, Made in France. Excellent condition, one with two rim chips. A rare set with wonderful detail. France, circa 1880.
