Bisque socket head with very plump facial shape and delicate bisque, large blue Steiner eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, fringed brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with beautifully-shaped outlined lips in hint of smile, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, cupped fingers. Condition: generally excellent, eyes are set. Marks: Sie C 3 (incised) J. Steiner Bte SGDG J. Bourgoin (red ink script). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1882. Value Points: superb grand-sized Steiner bebe, likely an Exhibition model as evidenced by the size and quality of bisque and painting, having original body and body finish, original signed Steiner eyes, beautiful early white pique dress, undergarments, shoes and stockings.
