Description
7 1/2" diameter. Porcelain plate with black and white elaborate border centering an image of well-dressed gentleman in top hat leaving a street stall labeled "Au Paradis des Enfant", his arms laden with dolls, Polichinelle, rocking horse and a box of bon-bons. Two other people are standing at the stall that is still laden with toys. The plate is labeled "Etrennes", and signed on reverse "Poterie J. Viellard". Excellent condition. Circa 1860.
