Description
8" diameter. A soft paste faience plate is trimmed with lavish border that centers a scene of woman offering dolls and toys for sale at the shop "Au Tambour Rouge". Included in the scene are dolls, drums, Polichinelle and wagons. Impressed P&B Choisy on reverse. French, circa 1840. A rare plate with doll theme is wonderfully detailed. Excellent condition.
