Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:109 _ 10 1/2 dep Germany Handwerck (head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: Handwerck, circa 1900. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, the doll wears original turn of the century Red Cross uniform comprising blue and white striped dress, apron, undergarments, striped blue and white wool stockings, black shoes, and heavy blue woolen double-breasted coat with velvet Cross on sleeve, and matching cape with original label "Armstrong Uniforms, Chicago Trademark".
