Rare Early Mechanical Tricycle Rider Attributed to Vichy

7 1/2"l. (19 cm.) A bisque headed boy with black painted hair delicately stippled onto the forehead, painted facial features with bright blue eyes, metal hands and feet, and wearing original costume of purple velvet jacket with gold edging, green silk trousers, is seated upon a three-wheeled metal tricycle with original red and green paint. When wound, the tricycle moves forward and in circles while the little boy appears to pedal. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Vichy, circa 1865. Value Points: very rare little toy with wonderful presentation
