Bisque shoulder head of adult woman with haughtily upturned oval face, slender elongated throat, blue glass sleep eyes, heavily lidded eyes with thick black eyeliner, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette mohair wig in upswept fashion over plaster pate, kid body with slender style, pin- jointing, bisque forearms with elongated fingers, nicely costumed in Edwardian style silk frock, watch, undergarments, black net stockings, old brown leather heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 172 7. Comments: "Gibson Girl", designed by the American illustrator Gibson as portrayal of society woman of the era, circa 1910,Kestner. Value Points: wonderful example of the portrait model by known artist, with great bisque, painting, original wig, pate, body.
