14" (36 cm.) Each has paper mache head with painted facial features depicting wide-beaming smiling boy and girl, highly blushed cheeks, he with brown eyes and black fleecy hair, she with blue upper-glancing eyes and brunette hair, each with five piece composition body containing clockwork mechanism. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Roullet and Decamps, the dolls named Toto and Tata were designed by Poulbot for Roullet et Decamps to use with this pair of mechanical dolls; when wound, the dolls sway back and forth, in an amusing manner. Value Points: rare dolls with fine original finish, well- functioning, original costumes, designed by French illustrator Poulbot.
