15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted blonde baby hair, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, heavily modeled eyelids, shaded brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D.V. 6 (incised) S & Co Ges Geschutz (green stamp). Comments: Swaine and Co, circa 1915. Value Points: especially fine quality of sculpting and quality of bisque, antique baby smock and matching panties, jacket, slippers.
