Each 12" (31 cm.) Each has carved wooden socket head with natural finish and tinted features, muslin body, wooden hands, and is wearing original costume, the Bride with carved black hair drawn away from face into coiled bun with decorative flowers, and wearing red silk wedding ensemble with elaborate decorated and beaded gown and head dress, slippers, pom-pom trims; and the Bridegroom with black short hair short black painted hair, wearing purple silk tunic with frog closures and embroidered medallion, pink silk tunic, purple silk pants, purple silk boots, black silk cap with tassel. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: from the Door of Hope mission of China, circa 1920. Value Points: well- preserved wedding couple in fine original costumes.
