13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head of older gentleman, brown glass inset eyes, brush stroked grey brows, incised age lines outlined in red, prominent nose, closed mouth with full smiling lips, white mohair wig and beard, composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 1 Germany. Comments: Dressel, circa 1895, the model also appeared as Uncle Sam. Value Points: the Farmer wears his original striped cotton shirt, overalls, boots, felt hat and carries farm tools.
