Bisque swivel head on bisque breast plate, unusual solid dome and pate cut at very back of head, rounded facial modeling, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded lips, two rows of tiny teeth, dimpled chin, brunette human hair, unique body construction with muslin midriff and upper arms and legs,and bisque shoulder plate, lower torso and hips, lower arms and lower legs, bisque bare feet, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, right thumb reglued. Comments: Jules Steiner, one of his earliest bebes with distinctive body known variously as "Motschmann" type, or taufling or bisque limb baby, circa 1870. Value Points: the rarity of the model is rivaled by its splendid quality of bisque and painting, fine large size, bisque limbs.
