12" (31 cm.) Bisque socket head with ebony black complexion, unusual neck attachment with wooden bulb, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted black lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral shaped lips, pierced ears, very lightweight French composition and wooden fully- jointed body with swivel wrists in original matching black complexion. Condition: generally excellent, tiny nose tip rub, body finish original albeit some crackling on torso. Marks: 3 (impressed on head). Comments: mystery maker, possibly Paris Bebe, circa 1890. Value Points: rare doll with beautiful face and eyes, original body, superb complexion.
