11" (18 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with very dark carved hair in coronet braid around the head, painted brown upper glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner, painted brows, closed mouth, all- wooden body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Swiss, circa 1920. Value Points: especially beautiful face with wonderfully carved hair, wearing beautiful Alsatian costume.
