Contained within its original box is a bisque doll along with three alternate bisque heads to be used interchangeably with the body; the doll has brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, original muslin chemise, shoes and socks, and is marked 174; the alternate heads each have painted eyes and mohair wigs, as follows: model 178 with solemn expression and brown eyes; 185 with smiling expression and brown eyes, 184 with pouty expression and blue eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (see above). Comments: Kestner, circa 1911, the dolls are presented in original box labeled "Kestner character doll" in English, and original price of $3.69, indicating its production for the American market. Value Points: pristine unplayed with condition of the set, in rare smaller size.
