23" (59 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, dark curly lashes, dark eyeliner, feathered angled brows, accented nostrils of button nose, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, dimpled chin, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 165-12. Comments: Hertel and Schwab for Strobel and Wilkin, the model was created in 1914 to represent the Campbell Kid; in that year Campbell Soup Co. was celebrating its 50th anniversary. Value Points: fabulous doll with intriguing history in exceptionally large size for this model, with toddler body and very choice bisque.
