Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, small button nose, closed mouth with dimpled details, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume of the 1920's era. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany 19c. 24 L.A.& S, N.Y. 50 973/3. Comments: Louis Amberg, circa 1924,portrait doll of the child silent film star, Baby Peggy Montgomery, made for a few years only. Value Points: rare character model of named celebrity, is enhanced by excellent detail of bisque and painting, original body and body finish, antique wig and costume.
