Description

9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head, very large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, widely brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, original 1/ 4" l. firing separation at left crown rim. Marks: F (incised on head, with artist check marks) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892,the rare and elusive "F" signature indicates commissioned production for unknown Paris shop. Value Points: very rare mystery Jumeau in tiniest size, has pretty bisque and expression, dramatic eyes, original signed body and body finish, costume including blue shoes and shoes appears original.
