19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, dark blue glass sleep eyes that operate from wire lever at the back of the head, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, rose blushed eye shadow, brush stroked and fringed brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure C No 2 J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: very pretty shy- faced bebe with rarer lever sleep eyes, nicely blushed complexion, original body finish, wearing lovely antique checkered costume, undergarments, black leather shoes, stockings, floral-decorated bonnet.
