Description
23" (59 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted blonde boyish hair, character- like "cabbage" ears, painted facial features, pale blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, heavy eyelids, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with hint of smile, defined space between the shaded lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.S. & c. 1267 50. Comments: Franz Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: rare model with superior quality of sculpting including impressed double dimples, chin and laughter lines, uniquely modeled ears, very fine bisque and painting.
