20" (51 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead, black sculpted hair in short boyish fashion, pink tinted complexion, brown painted eyes, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, 1865. Value Points: the doll is wearing original superb costume of the Zouave military regiment of the American Civil War, comprising red/blue woolen shirt with featherstitch detail, red woolen pants, leggings, shoes, cap, belt with US gilt buckle, pistol and holster.
