18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with dark blonde sculpted hair defined by rich combmarked details, arranged curls at forehead and side of head pulled behind the ears, loosely braided chignon at top of head decorated with draped beading and with unusual decorative black comb at the back of the head, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, three strands of gilded neck beads, old muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: rarity factors include fancy coiffure, hair beads, decorative comb, glass eyes, pierced ears, and beaded necklace.
