Description
29 dolls, 3"-5". Each is simplistically-carved all- wooden doll with one piece head and torso, painted hair and facial features, jointed wooden arms and legs, with very simple cloth costume of various cotton fabrics. Condition: generally excellent, except 3 are missing legs (under costume). Comments: Germany, circa 1885, the dolls were designed for presentation in doll houses or miniature toy theatres. Value Points: wonderfully preserved simple dolls with original painting and costumes.
