Description
5" x 5 1/2". A heavy cardboard box in the shape of a book is covered in rich marbled papers with gilt designs and lettering suggesting a book title but actually the name of the candy shop. When the "book" is opened, the hollow interior reveals four tiny boxes each with engraved design of children playing with dolls, toys and animals. Very good condition. French, circa 1885.
