Description
25" (62 cm.) Bisque socket head, dark blue glass sleep eyes, black eyeliner, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117/A 62. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, from their art character series, marketed as "Mein Susser Liebling" (my sweet darling). Value Points: very beautiful example of the sought- after child has fine luminous bisque, fine definition of character expression, original body and body finish, beautiful antique costume.
