20" (51 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder head, neck jointing system that allows the head to tilt from side to side and forward, pale complexion, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pert smile, accented lips, blushed cheeks, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset jointed fashion body with shapely waist, well costumed in antique gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, some patches on body. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: the rare articulation system allows for appealing posing of the poupee head, enhancing the choice bisque and painting.
