18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde painted baby hair with detailed forelock curls, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JDK Made in Germany 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1914,their painted hair version of the model known as Baby Jean. Value Points: desirable and sought-after character with appealing gentle expression, superb bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
